More About Me

MORE ABOUT ME

I'm a writer; a prophetic writer.

I also write to share some of my own story.

I do think it's quite powerful when we genuinely share what we've been through and how the Lord helps us walk through it. I find people are very receptive to real life stories. It's particularly touching when someone can personally relate to something we've experienced and vice versa. It can inspire hope in the hearts of others.

I like writing to encourage and speak faith, hope, love, and truth into people's lives as well. And this is certainly a great honor for me.

I understand what it is to struggle and be deeply discouraged. I also understand the power of an encouraging word, especially by the inspiration of Holy Spirit.

True encouragement is so important and needed. It can often be found in the words of a song, book, poem, or blog. It can even be found in our daily interactions and conversations, including online.

It doesn't even have to be elaborate. Some of the best words of encouragement can be the simplest so long as their well-spoken. And well-spoken or written words can profoundly touch us, and perhaps articulate how we feel (I love when that happens). They can uplift us and breathe fresh air from Heaven into our weary souls.

I desire to do that with my words.

I am also a photographer; more specifically, a prophetic photographer. This, like my writing, functions through the prophetic expression the Father has placed within me. I am called to prophetic ministry and these are two of the ways in which my gifting flows and functions

I like to incorporate some of my photos, or other images, into my blogs to help give visual expression to the words. They help bring the message to life. And it's so true that a picture is often worth a thousand words. To view some of my photographs please go here.

I'm a serious lover of music. And music is always a part of what I do. It is truly a gift from God and I appreciate it very much.

My favorite prescription for anything is a nice, hot cuppa tea.

Prayer is also a big part of what I do. In fact, it is the greater work; as Oswald Chambers said, "Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work." Truly, prophetic ministry is rooted in deep prayer and intercession.

I wholeheartedly believe that character takes precedence over gifting. By character, I mean the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Otherwise, our gifting, however good or extraordinary it is, can eventually succumb to those false things that vie for our time, thoughts, and attention. We can be highly gifted but spiritually immature. We need to develop genuine Christ-like character as the foundation for which we stand in order to truly function and excel in our gifts.

The people God has used - and is still using - to help me along the way have made such a difference in my life. I value them greatly. I would not be where I am otherwise. We all need each other to get where the Father wants us to be.

I have ultimately learned to see life through a different lens; mostly because of personal life experiences. And this is the place I often speak, write, and photograph from.

I'm still working to heal and recover from a long battle with chronic illness. It has been a difficult journey unlike any other. And yet the Lord has been working within it, and me, this whole time. If you're interested in knowing more please go to My Lyme Symphony, where I blog very honestly about Lyme disease and my long struggle with illness.

At the end of the day, I know there's a greater purpose in all of this - Kingdom purpose.

And that's where I'm vested.

Many people are hurting and struggling for various reasons; many have been hit hard by life. And like we all do, they need to know someone truly cares. They need the hope and love of Jesus functioning in action through us.

I desire to be a vessel of His great love and hope.
I want to make a difference in the lives of others.
I want to be an agent of change for His Kingdom.
And I want to run my race well.

Care to join me?
