The Tears of Freedom Are Coming: Your Healing Is In Your Tears

I hear the Spirit of God saying:

"There are tears coming, but they're coming to set you free. Don't fight them; don't reject them, and most certainly don't dismiss them. For they are coming to cleanse and to renew. What once was very painful in your life is going to be healed through the tears you will shed.

I created tears and they serve a very deep purpose. Precious one, don't be ashamed of the tears you are going to shed; for they are coming to help wash away the grief and the pain you carry; they are coming to help bring a refreshing to your heart and soul and yes; even to your physical body.

The time for extensive healing is upon you. Let the tears fall and let them express what you could never fully convey with your words. For I AM sending tears in this time as a great release.

There is a hope and a future I have for you but you must allow these tears to speak.

Tears are holy; they are most holy indeed. So let them come and have their say. And rejoice that your time for breaking open and breaking through is here. And take comfort in knowing you do not cry alone; for your Beloved cries with you.

Jesus is near to you and your broken heart. He knows your whole story. He knows the depth of your hurt. He knows the harm that was done. He knows the scars you carry. And He has come that you might have a newness of life.

He not only wants to rejoice with you in what is good and joyful and beautiful; He wants to weep with you in what is bad and sorrowful and ugly.

Embrace the tears, beloved son. Embrace the tears, beloved daughter.

And as you walk through these next months; know this is a time designated by Heaven for the cleansing and mending of what ails you in the deep places.

Yes, your tears are going to help bring the healing you are longing for. They are coming for your highest good."

Overcoming Discouragement

Over the past few days, the Father has been speaking to me about a battle over many of His people and He said this battle is called discouragement.

The enemy has set out to do as much damage as possible to stop, interfere with, and delay what God has promised but the one thing he has monopolized on most is using discouragement to keep many of us weighed down and entangled.

Now, I know there are many things that are happening in the world that are really discouraging, to say the least. And I know many of us are going through personal hardships that are just as disheartening. However, we must learn how to overcome while still in the battle and it’s ultimately done through the overcoming nature of our Lord Jesus.

The Father wants to stir up the overcomer in us because we have “the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27) within us as believers. We have the capacity to overcome because the One who has already overcome the world is alive and well in us and wants to empower us to move and function as the mighty overcomers we truly are.

We are being called to operate from our true identities as His sons and daughters on earth as it is in Heaven. The Father not only wants us to renew our minds in Christ but also allow Him to establish new paradigms of Kingdom thinking, doing, and being in our everyday lives, which will help us in our overcoming.

In a way, there is a divine discontentment that’s paralleling this battle of discouragement and it’s through this discontentment the Spirit of God is calling us to come up higher.

I remember hearing the late Prophet Kim Clement say something several years ago that stumped me initially but gave way to having a spiritual light bulb moment later on. He used the phrase, “The dynamic of God operating within the demonic” while he was doing a teaching on how the Father uses whatever He desires to accomplish His perfect will and work all things together for our good.

I’m sure if you’re hearing this for the first time you’re likely thinking the same thing I did, namely – Whhhaaaat?!?

I started asking Holy Spirit what in the world it meant because I didn’t understand how that was possible. He showed me and once I got it; I saw it was a deep and profound truth.

Let me explain what I'm getting at.

God is greater than the devil and his kingdom of darkness every day of the week. Even in the midst of demonic happenings, the Father is always about His business and it’s often in ways we cannot see or fathom. We know He does not author evil, but in His wisdom, He will sometimes allow the workings of the enemy to play out in order to bring about His higher purpose and Jesus is the perfect example of this.

Satan must have really thought he had the Lord finished off while He was hanging on the cross, even more so when he actually died, but little did that devil know; it was the greater dynamic of God at work. The enemy didn't have a clue Jesus chose to lay down His life for us. And he sure didn't know the deep selfless love that motivated Him to do it.

In the midst of what looked to be the total undoing and end of Jesus, the Son of God, a supernatural and eternal overcoming was taking place. More was accomplished through the crucifixion of Jesus than anyone knew while it was happening and even though He told the disciples ahead of time He would rise again in three days; the pain and horror of the moment overshadowed His words. I’d say they were pretty discouraged.

We know the rest of the story; three days later speaks for itself. But for the sake of truth, I will say it nonetheless – Jesus was raised from the dead by God’s Spirit; just as He said would happen. He overcame all and He did it for us.

The unthinkable gave way to the extraordinary; the impossible yielded the possible. God was powerfully at work in what seemed to be the devil’s playground. On the outside looking in all was lost, but on the inside looking out all was saved.

Whew. Let that sink in for a minute.

It’s like that with us. We can be so overwhelmed with what’s happening in the present that we cannot see beyond it – and we’ve all been there. Even if God has given us a prophetic word to carry us through; we can lose sight of it in the depths of our struggle and discouragement.

Of all the days, Saturday – the day in-between His crucifixion and resurrection – was probably the hardest. Waiting usually is. But waiting on the Lord also carries its own strength and harvest if we don’t give up (Isaiah 40:31; Galatians 6:9).

Waiting eventually gives way to what’s really going on behind the scenes, meaning what cannot be visibly seen. Until it is.

He is indeed doing a greater, higher work and much of it has been taking place out of sight, although we may be seeing some evidence of it. While He’s been revealing many things concerning this to His sons and daughters, including His prophets, it still isn’t fully visible. We only have certain pieces because we know in part and prophesy in part (1 Corinthians 13:9), which speaks to the importance of bringing our pieces together to help form a better and unified whole but that’s for another time.

So while we’re waiting for His glorious plan and promises to unfold in our day and age, we must learn to overcome those things that are trying to oppose us in the process, including discouragement. And we must learn to overcome it through the ways He's wanting to teach us, which will be uniquely different for each of us. This is what I'm being shown is on the Father's heart.

There is a unique way He speaks or communicates to every, single person, and so there is a unique way He will reveal how to overcome discouragement to each person as well.

For one person it might be through fun and laughter; for another, it might be through downtime and rest; another it might be through prayer and counseling; another through reading and decreeing the Word of God; still another perhaps through art, nature, or a pet. Maybe its a combination of those. Whatever it is, just listen and heed His voice because He knows what you individually need. And ultimately, keep your focus on the Overcomer himself; that is Jesus – the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

The mere fact that His revelation is so personal is amazing enough but add the dynamic overcoming nature of Jesus operating within us and it goes to new heights - Kingdom heights. And that's exactly what He wants.

Whatever you might be discouraged about, whatever you’re going through or waiting on the Lord for, know you carry His overcoming nature within you as an heir of God and co-heir with Jesus.

Right now I speak encouragement to each of you through Christ. I speak to the overcomer in you – rise up in the Name of Jesus! And I pray and ask Holy Spirit to reveal the unique way in which the Father wants you to learn to overcome discouragement in your life.

In the meantime, rest in knowing you are very precious to Him, His grace is sufficient for you, and He is able to do abundantly more than you could ask or imagine according to His power at work within you.

He believes in you, beloved.

the beauty from ashes project: a photographic journal series

Photo copyright © Michelle Holderman

I'm starting a new project. It's a journal of sorts; a photographic series about life and beauty and hardship and creative expression. Actually, Holy Spirit exhorted me to begin this on Facebook earlier in the summer. And so now, I'm going to be sharing it here on The Ragamuffin Saint as well.

I'm calling this the beauty from ashes project, which I think speaks for itself. I also think many of you will be able to relate to it in some way through your own life's journey or experience.

Whatever the ashes, we all have an innate desire for meaning, value, and beauty. Still, it can be really difficult to find when we're in the thick of it and dealing with things that impair our bodies, rip our hearts, and/or challenge our faith. But in our longing and struggling, I believe we might discover something more; something deeper, greater, and unexpected. Perhaps we'll discover Jesus right in the ashes with us.

I suppose this project is ultimately a revelation of that. And of His love, grace, and hope at work; even in the little things; even in the painful things.

For me, a photo always captures a moment in time and reveals a piece of the grander story. Sometimes it's obvious and sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's simple and sometimes it's complex. Nevertheless, it speaks.

So it is with these photographs.

This is a work in process and is probably for me as much as anyone, but I do hope it can speak to other hearts in a way that words cannot. If it does, I'd love to hear from you. And if you'd like to share your own beauty from ashes photo in the comments; I'd love to see it. Or should I say listen to it?

Thanks so much for following along, friends.

God bless you all,

- Michelle

Holy Is

Holy is loving God. Holy is also loving your neighbor as yourself.
Holy is being led by the Spirit. Holy is also walking by faith.
Holy is seeking first the Kingdom. Holy is also serving others.
Holy is worship and obedience. Holy is also joy and peace.
Holy is personal. And holy is also communal.

Holy is taking care of your family.
Holy is teaching your children.
Holy is doing it everyday.

Holy is plowing the field.
Holy is growing the vegetables.
Holy is inviting others to sit at your table.

Holy is laughter and tears.
Holy is sound and silence.
Holy is rest and labor.

Holy is buying a cup of coffee for someone who needs it.
Holy is cooking a meal for somebody who can't.

Holy is clothing one who has none.

Holy is acting justly.
Holy is loving mercy.
Holy is walking humbly with God.

Holy is ministering to the broken and the hurting.
Holy is caring for someone who is sick or injured.
Holy is taking the time to genuinely listen to a troubled heart.

Holy is rejoicing with those who rejoice.
Holy is weeping with those who weep.

Holy is the mountaintop and the valley.
Holy is in the beauty and the ashes.

Holy is truth.
Holy is grace.

Holy is faithfully doing the work the Lord's given you to do.
Holy is doing that work as if you're doing it unto Him.

Holy is as much in the little, ordinary things as the big, grandiose ones. Holy is as much doing the natural part as the spiritual; it's both. We cannot separate the two in living out our faith.

Scripture says faith without works is dead (James 2:17). What does that mean? I think it means putting tangible action behind our words and beliefs. It means giving faith our eyes, ears, voices, hearts, hands, feet, trust, time, money, energy, and attention.

Holy is serving people as much as serving Christ. In doing one; are we not doing the other?

I know we mostly associate holy with purity and righteousness, and this is true. However, it's not in the context of keeping or adhering to rules and regulations. Rather holy is being dedicated to God and this happens through a relationship with Jesus.

We are holy in our union with Christ.

We participate in holy living through spiritual intimacy with Jesus, which naturally flows out into our daily lives. We find holy in our genuine, intimate, transparent, ongoing communion with Him. But I believe we also find holy in our communion with each other.

In this way, holy isn't religion; holy is relationship.
In this way, holy isn't just going to church; holy is a lifestyle.
In this way, holy isn't a Sunday thing; holy is a heart thing.

And the older I get, the more clearly I see through this lens.

Jesus, please help us be holy as you are holy.
Help us honor you and honor others.
Help us live holy everyday lives.

The Excavating of Truths

The Father gave this insightful word to me on September 18, 2016. However, He’s never given me the green light to release it until now and that’s because it is actually for this present time and season. Now is the time of this word and it speaks volumes to me. I pray it does you as well. – Michelle

The Father is speaking –

“Problems are going to be solved in this time. There are many who have struggled for years with certain troubles or issues. They’ve sought understanding and counsel but to no avail. Some of it was because the time had not yet come for the revealing of such knowledge, but the time is now. And as you work through untangling these difficulties, I will open access to the truths surrounding them.

There are bridges to the past that must be crossed and dealt with.

Some are under a form of oppression that’s related to past hurts or wounds. Even past words spoken can carry power if they’ve not been brought into the light of truth.

Some are being held captive by that which they do not even know. What am I saying? There are generational issues at hand that must be properly addressed. Some struggles in your life have nothing to do with you directly but rather with your ancestors. The consequences of their choices are affecting you presently.

Bloodlines are crying out to Me, and there are those who are standing in the gap for the sake of their families. They want to know what the true root or cause of the problem is. And so I shall make it known to them.

The exposing or revealing of what was previously unknown, sometimes even for many generations, will have a tremendous impact on the present. It will be like an excavating of ancient ruins; digging and unearthing truths buried long ago that will bring divine revelation into the here and now. In other words, your understanding lies in knowing what was long before you were even born. That is something only I can uncover.

I AM bringing much knowledge and truth to My people. I AM revealing what was in order to help you heal what is in the present because that is the root of your struggle. This might sound somewhat cryptic or confusing but I assure you; it is where the truth of what you long to know is hidden.

The sound of My voice is shaking what must be shaken. And what I AM shaking is dismantling that which needs to be uncovered.

A divine dismantling is underway and you are going to walk in greater strength and resolve in what I uncover. I will give you grace to do the work that must be done in this process. I will walk with you. I will give you the resources you are in need of. But I must unveil that which is hidden and bring the truth of the matter to light. It will be the source of your recovery on many levels. And I desire for you to walk in truth. I desire for you to have fullness of life. I desire for you to prosper even as your soul prospers.

I will give you signs. I will speak to you through My creation. And you will know that I AM for you and not against you. I always have been. It is the devil, your adversary that has been in operation opposing you. He is the trickster that’s been at work.

Nevertheless, there are those times when your own choices are at work and then there are times when the choices of other people are in play. They can affect generations yet to come if not properly dealt with.

Even those who have made poor choices and not previously done what I wanted; there will be a time of second chances because of how I AM at work. I do not wish that you would deny the cost or consequences of your wrong choices. I desire for you to allow Me to help you remedy them. And that means being responsible for what you’ve done. It also means I will help bring restoration into the matter that will cause greater reconciliation.

Exposure is under way and I will render My justice through the process of what I have spoken. I AM a God who delights in righteousness and justice. I also delight in restoration and redemption. And I AM unmasking truth and revelation in order to do just that.

Selah on these words, but also on Me.

I will restore the years that the locust and the canker worm have eaten. I will give back to you what the enemy has stolen and greater even still.

I desire that you function in Shalom – total wholeness.

All that I AM doing is to ultimately draw people back to Me.”

Kingdom Artists

I see the Spirit of God moving through the arts in a wholly new, unique way. Painters, sketchers, graphic designers, potters, videographers, filmmakers, photographers, poets, writers (including songwriters), musicians, singers, dancers, and even DJ's – get ready to express the Father's heart in the new ways He's going to show you. Say what you will, but I am also getting He is going to move through chefs, cooks, bakers, and baristas; clothing and jewelry designers; and also graffiti artists (that's specifically what I heard Him say).

You will deliver the word of the LORD through your art; through the gifts and talents He's given you. And it will minister to and bless people in a way nothing else can. It will be sharp with precision and integrity. Holy Spirit will lead you and give you fresh ideas, some through dreams and visions, but you must step out and release them. Don't be afraid to share the unique creative expressions He gives you. You will know the right timing to release them too.

Also, this will present unusual opportunities only the Father could orchestrate because He wants to make himself known to those who would not set foot in a church. So He's coming to them through you and your art.

I believe the anointing of Heaven, the sound of Heaven, is strongly flowing through the arts in this time and season. And as His Kingdom Artists, you are helping to bring His Kingdom and His will on earth as it is in Heaven and glorifying the Son [Jesus] in the process.

lost girls

she closed her eyes
the time had come
to go where
her innocence
was taken.

but lost girls look for places to go
far away from reality.

she swallowed her secrets
never to tell
deadlocked in time
her story stays there
it remains
concealed and unopened
until it is freed.

but lost girls look for places to go
far away from reality.

what is it
you've said
without saying it?
what is
your heart
telling me?

i'm a broken piano
in need of mending
this lost girl is weary
and tired of pretending
all of my words
are heavy
and so hard
to speak.

please come
sweet lost girl
and pour out
your story
and lament
your reality.

jesus is waiting
and listening.
he wants you
to come and
be free.

– michelle

* written for all the lost girls who've no one to tell.

he hears the cries of your heart,
and i hear them too.
you matter.
your story matters;

the holy invitation

adobe stock

the old. the shabby. the worn.

hurting hearts, broken bodies, and crushed spirits.

sickness, pain, and trauma.

scars and stories deadlocked in time.

it's all an invitation for Him to come in and heal – a holy invitation.

restoration is His business. and while there are just some things only Jesus can do; He often uses other people to help us get there.

we can't do it on our own. we need Him. and we need each other.

Salt and Light

13 “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.

14-16 Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

The Promise Is Coming

I keep hearing those words over and over again from Holy Spirit. In fact, I've been hearing them for many days now, including today, and I've been pressing in and seeking the Lord for more understanding. Actually, there has been a lot of labor, resistance, and interference involved, which tells me this must be quite important.

I don't profess to know it all, but I am getting from Him that "The Promise" means different things for different people. Yet it is fully rooted in the promises of God (2 Corinthians 1:20) for our lives, our families, the body of Christ, and even cities and nations. And this is certainly happening at the direction of the Father.

I also believe this has everything to do with Him taking us further into both our individual and collective destinies in Jesus. And I really feel an excitement attached to this too.

This is ultimately a Kingdom thing. And there will be some necessary uprooting and tearing down of certain things that have already served their purpose, are hindering what the Father wants to newly plant and build, or were never of Him in the first place and must be removed. There will be hidden things uncovered too. So don't be surprised by the exposure this carries.

Lastly, I’m hearing Him say there are greater days ahead that are going to blow our minds. This is a time that is truly being orchestrated by Heaven itself for the greatest move of God we’ve ever known.

He is intentionally joining people together for His purpose. So I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to be in the place the Father wants each of us to be. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says, thinks, or does – be where He wants you to be; nothing more and nothing less.

I don't believe it's a coincidence that the Holy Spirit is repeatedly speaking these words during this week - Holy Week and Passover Week. I think there is great significance in it – almost like Heaven is making an announcement during this holy time. And I know I’m not the only one feeling it or perceiving it either.

I really feel there is more to this but I can only share what I've been given. However, I do believe we are going to see a pairing of God's love and power within this time in ways we've never known or seen before. In other words, the magnitude of His love and power is going to astound many of us.

So with that, I declare to you, as the Holy Spirit has been specifically declaring to me,

In His Love.

(I'm sharing this at His direction so please weigh these words by the Spirit)

A Word Of Encouragement From The Lord

I'm hearing the LORD say –

"Position yourselves before Me; for I AM about to move in ways you've not known or seen.

There's a lot of speculation in your heart regarding what I will and will not do.

All you need to know is I AM faithful to finish what I've started. Let those be the words that carry you into this day and all the days to follow. And place your worry at My feet. Your job is not to worry nor are you to hold onto your concerns.

I AM calling you to come up higher with Me so you must let go of what weighs you down. Let it go, My beloved. Let it go and watch how I will lift you up.

An eagle soars higher by stretching its wings out and allowing the wind to take it to greater heights.

So it is with Me.

Stretch out your wings of faith and trust Me to take you higher. For truly, I AM the wind beneath your wings.

Don't focus on everything and everyone else. Instead, focus on Me. I AM your life source and I love you with an everlasting love that is pure and clean.

Be still, beloved; and let Me show you what's on My heart for you to know.

Listen for My holy whispers. For surely I will whisper My words of spirit and life into your weary soul and ignite you with a fresh grace to carry on.

Let Me tell you the plans I have for you. Let Me lift you into a higher love.

I want to leave you with a question to ponder: Do you trust Me?

The answer to this will determine how far you will allow Me to take you.

Trust Me with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding but allow Me to direct your path and see how you will take flight.

I AM whispering – I love you. Trust Me."

Beauty For Ashes: A Holy Work

So there I was, looking at this pile of ashes I call my life; when I started to see these unfamiliar, unexpected pieces lying underneath. And I thought to myself, "What are those? And what in the world am I supposed to do with them?"

It's strange because I thought I knew all the pieces. I thought I'd taken proper inventory. I thought I had, but there they were – residues of truth waiting for me to uncover.

This is all metaphorical, of course, but there is a lot of verity in it – years of chronic illness and trauma; years of misdiagnosis and loss; years of suffering and pain; years of working to recover.

Some of this is better and some is still an ongoing work. And perhaps, to some degree, it will remain a work in progress.

I've always tried to see the positive – the proverbial silver lining – in things despite the challenge or adversity. I've always looked for the blessing in disguise. I have always had this inner drive that when the going gets tough; the tough get going. And those are good things. The right perspective and attitude are important.

I've also developed a deep trust in the Lord and His timing, taking things to Him in prayer, which helps keep me grounded and rooted in Him and His promises. This is important too.

Still, one has to take a long, hard look at the truth of their lives and get real.

So as I've spent many of these years getting to know Him more intimately, continually learning, growing, and being trained in the things of God and His Kingdom, all while working to find answers and heal, I've also discovered those aforementioned pieces I didn't know were there – inner places of frozen pain and sorrow.

Places I'd not given Him access to because I didn't know they even existed.

But now I do and we're working on them together.

Through it all, I have learned His presence in our places of deepest pain is how true healing begins.

And He does show up –

He shows up in our struggle. He shows up in our heartache. He shows up in our anger. He shows up in our fear. He shows up in our secrets. He shows up in our numbness. He shows up in our scars. He shows up in our despair. He shows up in our doubt. He shows up in our mess. He shows up in our disappointment. He shows up in our brokenness.

He shows up in our story.

He shows up in places we didn't even know were there.

He shows up at unexpected times and in unexpected ways.

And when He does; we wrestle.

We wrestle with every "Why?" that we carry.

We wrestle with silence and unanswered prayers.

We wrestle with bruises from the past and the present.

We wrestle with suffering, injustice, and not understanding.

We wrestle with Him.

But that's also when His grace and truth begin to dissolve our barriers, defenses, and illusions. That's when His love and compassion begin to invade the innermost crevices of our hearts. That's when His light and hope begin to spark something fresh and new within us.

It is often a process that involves our personal willingness and participation, but it's one that eventually leads to genuine transformation. And it usually involves the people and the pieces He's chosen to be a part of our healing journey.

Let me add that this process doesn't happen just for the sake of it happening. Jesus isn't only interested in results or a good outcome; although He cares about such things.

His greatest interest is in us and the condition of our hearts because He knows heart issues hold the key to how we function in life. He knows waving a magic wand over our problems and making them instantly disappear isn't the remedy we need.

He's most interested in healing the things we don't always understand or even realize are in need of mending. He's interested, not so much in our ongoing personal comfort, but in the state of this "heart," which is the source or wellspring of our whole lives.

He knows what we are in need of; even more than we do. Therein lies both the wisdom and the mystery of the transforming nature of Christ.

In transforming us, He transforms our pain.

And that is the ultimate exchange of beauty for ashes.

It's quite a holy work.

Deborah and Esther: God's Dynamic Duo For This Time

The Father is raising up Deborah's and Esther's together for the advancement of His Kingdom. What they could not do on their own, they will be more than able to do and accomplish together. The one will help to empower the other because the promises of God bind them together. And the Holy Spirit will set them out as the Father so wills and purposes.

He's had His eye on His Deborah's and Esther's for a long while now. He's calling them His dynamic duo because their impact is greater together. These mighty women of God have paid a high price to go where they are going, but they said yes to the call a long time ago.

So now is the time for Holy Spirit to begin setting them out in their mutual work and assignments. They are women of valor and truth. And they’ve been handpicked by Heaven for this time.

The Spirit of God says –

"Get ready for My Deborah's and My Esther's to rise up together. We will be a three-fold cord that's not easily broken.

I will send them into the spheres the Lord has chosen for them to walk in together. And they will walk in unity. They will walk in His love and power.

They are carriers of My justice, order, and truth. And because they are on Heaven's mission, I will supply them with the resources they need.

Above all, they carry the heart and fragrance of Jesus. They live and move and have their being in Him. For it is from out of their intimacy with Christ they'll know how to do the work He wants. Because of this, they will be like a breath of fresh air. And it is truly the air or breath of Heaven they are going to bring with them."

Something New Is Starting In 2017

I hear the Father saying He is ALREADY making a way for you, and it's not by power or might but by His Spirit He is doing this.

He says it is all coming together by the working of Holy Spirit.

The force with which you are being pressed on feels extremely uncomfortable, but it's good because the Father is aligning you with Heaven's perfect order and timing, which include the right people at the right place at the right time. And the reason this is happening is that it is time for the new thing the Father has ordained for your life.

By the end of the month, you are going to start seeing this take shape and form. What you haven't been able to understand or get ahold of, even now, will start to come into better focus by the end of January and get progressively clearer through April.

I really feel this in my spirit so strongly!

It has been such a long, difficult road but this is the start of something wonderful that only the Father can do for you.

He is writing a whole new chapter in your story.

The notes of a new song are beginning to play for you.

A new sun is about to rise on your brand new day.

All Our Pieces

You know those painful, messy, broken pieces we don't let too many people see? Yeah, those. Well, Jesus sees and knows. He knows we all have some pieces that are in need of mending. He sees and hears those bruised places calling out for His beautiful touch.

And sometimes we just need to be reminded that HE LOVES US THROUGH IT ALL. That He aches when we ache. That He weeps with us. That we aren't alone.

We don't have to pretend
or perform. We don't have to try and act fine when we're really not because He already knows the truth of our scars and stories. He's already seeing us eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart.

He's already reaching for us through the grief, anger, disappointment, and fear. He's already piercing through our layers, filters, and defenses.

Yes, He walks right into our shambles, right into the messiness of it all, and finds us on the floor in our dark night of the soul. And He gets down and pulls us tightly into His kindness and compassion, and He lets us kick and scream and cry and let it all out.

He lets us feel our deep ache, and He feels it right along with us. He knows how to hold us in our brokenness and ashes while loving us into His beauty and grace.

And somehow we know we really are important to Him. Somehow we understand this gut-wrenching stuff - our suffering, heartache, trauma, sorrow, hurt, and struggle - really does matter.

We come to see He loves us in our deepest, darkest lows as much as He does in our greatest, sparkling heights.

Then we suddenly realize He chose to step into our world, and our pain, on purpose.

We get, maybe even for the first time, He truly came for us and all our pieces.

And that changes everything.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:17 NLT
