The Importance Of Knowing How To Pray

Just as important as praying itself is knowing how God wants us to pray. The how is so important because when He reveals how He wants us to specifically pray, it puts us in alignment with His perfect will and order regarding the person, place, or situation we’re praying for. It is a glass slipper moment if you will. Meaning our prayers must fit the purpose for which God is wanting us to pray, and not just what we think or assume is the best way.

In our enthusiasm, we can take off praying down our own course through our own thoughts, wisdom, and emotion. The problem with this is that our human wisdom and understanding doesn't always line up with the higher wisdom and understanding of God. And if we aren't careful; we'll end up praying soulish prayers instead of true Spirit led prayers.

We must be intentional in our prayer life. That means we need the counsel of God's Spirit to guide us. We must ask, listen, and wait for direction from the Holy Spirit regarding how to pray in any given matter; whether it’s for ourselves, our family, a friend, church, community, or nation, etc. We must get our prayer directives from the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth (John 16:13), and then pray what He shows us to at any given time. Nothing more and nothing less. It really is that important.

Sometimes, praying in our spiritual (heavenly) language is the only way to accomplish what the Father wants. Said another way, it is often the how. The Scriptures refer to this as praying in the Spirit, because only the Spirit of God [Holy Spirit] truly knows the will of God (Romans 8:26-27; Ephesians 6:18).

Let me interject something. We know when one of the disciples inquired of Jesus how to pray, He revealed what we refer to as The Lord's Prayer (Luke 11:1-4; Matthew 6:9-13). And this is clearly an important instruction from the Lord himself. Nevertheless, when we are praying about specific matters, we require specific prayer instructions and strategies relevant to the need. This is what the Holy Spirit shows us, according to the Father's will, and this is why it's vital we seek Him.

Our prayers will be most effective when we pray according to the will of the Father. This is where the how comes in. Praying how He wants is to pray according to His will. And when we pray the will of the Father, we are coming into agreement with Him and His purposes.

The Holy Spirit will define "the how" as we seek Him because knowing how to pray matters just as much as knowing when to.

An Expounding On Correction From The Father

I originally posted this on August 23, 2015. The Father is now asking me to re-post it exactly three months to the day. And so I am. ~ Michelle

Earlier this year, I released what The Father revealed to me as a prophet concerning a course correction coming to the Body of Christ. I want to restate this is specific to BELIEVERS and THE BODY OF CHRIST.

By the Spirit of God, I am feeling an attempt by the enemy to distort what The Father spoke regarding this matter. And so He wants to expound and bring clarity. Therefore, I prayerfully release this in His love and truth.

God is dealing with HIS PEOPLE. His eyes are on us. He sees we need correcting in certain areas. And He is letting us know what is about to happen because He wants us to be ready for it.

Not every, single believer needs correcting. However, there are many who are out of order with the Lord, because He says so. And In His great love and compassion for us, He is bringing righteous correction.

For the past several years, and for some even longer, the Holy Spirit has been in deep and purposeful pursuit of us to deal with those things in our lives that need attention - serious matters of the heart. Some have allowed this deep work of the Holy Spirit to take place in their lives. Some have not.

Nonetheless, The Father has made it very clear to me that each of us has been given equal time and opportunity to do what’s been needed. So none of us can say we didn’t know. He’s made Himself known to each of us concerning the things in our lives that are out of His order. Some believers have completely rejected it, and this has hurt the Body of Christ as a whole in many ways.

It breaks down like this - we are out of sync with Him and His order.

We are missing out because we’ve tried to do things our way instead of His way. And there are consequences to this. However, the good news is His correction holds the remedy for us.

I believe the Church needs to be prepared because there are many Christians living in ungodliness. And He sees it. We so quickly point our fingers at "the sinners" and say - Oh look at them; look at what they’re doing! But the truth is, many believers have got more skeletons in their closets then the people they're condemning.

By the way, have we forgotten that while we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us?

God never condemns; He convicts through the Holy Spirit. There is a difference.

Condemnation only reveals the problem. It tears people down and makes them feel as low as possible. It only sees the dirt. It accuses, finds fault, and places blame. Condemnation comes from Satan and is rooted in hate and fear.

Conviction reveals the truth of the problem but it also reveals the solution. It brings about godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). True repentance brings about a heart change and a different way of thinking and functioning. It points us to the hope and forgiveness of Christ - even for believers when we’ve messed up. True conviction comes from God and is rooted in love and joy.

Jesus did not come to condemn the world. He came to save it (John 3:17). There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1).

Satan, on the other hand, is well known for accusing the brethren (Rev 12:10). And too many believers have offered up their mouths for him to accuse and slander other believers with, which is another matter on The Father's heart.

God holds those of us who truly know Him and His ways more accountable. We, the Body of Christ, are the ones He’s correcting. He is correcting His church because many of us are out of order. And He corrects us BECAUSE we belong to Him.

Accountability is even higher for ministers or leaders in the Body of Christ - apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. High call, high responsibility (to God and His people).

I’ve written A LOT about exposure over the last few years. This has been at His choosing and not mine. Many exposures are happening this year because correction is needed. When we refuse to submit to His correction process, He will, at some point, deal with us. He is tremendously long-suffering and gracious, but His patience has a limit.

I know most people don’t want to hear this, but it is truth that judgment begins in the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). And we have to understand there is a place for righteous judgment. We must also understand it in its proper context.

What kind of a Father would He be if He didn't discipline or correct His own children when we need it? How can He judge the world when His house is a mess? We can't mistake or misunderstand this. Read Hebrews 12.

It hurts Him when we make choices that empowers sin in our lives, especially willful sinning, because He knows precisely how the devil works - give him an inch and he'll not only take a mile; he'll take it all.

Deception runs deep when we think we can keep on doing our sin thing in secret and maintain our authority in Christ at the same time. This is why the whole Body of Christ suffers. What happens in one part of the Body affects our collective witness and authority. Some sin weighs us all down.

You cannot dance with the devil in the dark and then try to rebuke him in the light. You can’t swing with him on Saturday night and then act like you didn’t on Sunday morning. NO. WAY. It doesn't work like that. IT WILL BACKFIRE ON YOU BIG TIME.

This is what has happened with some of God’s people. When you do that and repeatedly refuse His help to lead you out of it; you will get burned. Make no mistake about it, Satan has one agenda only - to kill, steal, and destroy.

We often have blind spots to the enemy and need the wisdom and the counsel of the Holy Spirit to help guide us. And He always desires to teach us and lead us into truth, and if need be, repentance.

BUT if we reject it, if we refuse or dismiss His counsel and His warnings, it will cost us. It doesn't happen overnight, but eventually, if we continue rejecting God’s pursuit of us, we'll move outside of His covering. And there are serious consequences when that happens, which is why He goes to such great lengths with us in the first place.

The Father will intervene at some point and this will be much more difficult than had we submitted to Him early on. We have no one to blame but ourselves when we reject His loving and ongoing pursuit of us. He tries to stop us and enlighten us to the truth of what’s happening so it won’t progress into the danger zone, but the choice is still ours.

We can't play games with Him either and act like we didn't know when we really did. He knows this too. That’s why Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived (fooled, misled). God cannot be mocked. You will reap whatever you sow.” The Amplified Bible says we inevitably delude (dupe, fool, trick, hoodwink) ourselves if we attempt to delude God.

His love for us can never be questioned because He corrects us. 1 John 4:10 says it all: “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

Be clear, love and tolerance are NOT the same thing. The Father truly loves us, but there comes a time when He will no longer tolerate our wrong conduct and our rejection of His correction. He will not allow us to go on sinning or continually cover it up; especially when our actions are hurting the rest of His children and those who are truly innocent.

We must be willing to receive His correction in our lives when The Father sees we truly need it. He isn’t like people – He doesn’t overact or underact. He doesn’t look the other way or make mountains out of mole hills. So when He says there's a problem, there is most surely a problem. And we can't go on denying or opposing it.

He is profoundly kind but He's certainly no pushover. He acts justly and righteously at all times. Therefore, He will correct us, one way or another, for our own good. And it is because He loves us.

So don’t be surprised by what is coming to light. He will expose those who have perpetually rejected His help and His counsel.

The Prevailing of Heaven's Purpose: A Word for October

“Man makes many plans, but the purpose of the Lord will prevail.”
Proverbs 19:21

This Scripture sums up the whole month of October. And for that matter, it is the season we are now in – the time of God’s purpose prevailing.

The word purpose means – 1. The reason for which something is done or created; the reason for which something exists. 2. To have as one's intention or objective. 3. Resolution. 4. Determination.

The Lord began showing me in September that we have entered into “the time of His intention.” He was very specific, and the biblical basis He gave me for this is Proverbs 19:21.

As He explained it further to me, I began to understand there are set times of God’s intention that are pre-appointed by Him. And when we do come into these times, His purpose overrides and prevails over the plans of people.

I first wrote about this last month in a word I entitled, Entertaining Angels. If you haven’t yet read it, I encourage you to do so because it applies to all of God’s people. It’s very revealing and exciting.

The intention of God is now at the forefront. His purpose is working in our individual lives, as well as within the corporate Body of Christ. He is aligning and drawing people together for His purposes.

The Kingdom of Heaven has divine mandates on certain people for certain things at certain times. There are God-appointed commissions on certain sons and daughters to work together for specific God-appointed reasons. And The Father is in the process of bringing them together to begin the orchestration of those reasons. It's His appointed time for this. Call them Kingdom purposes because that’s exactly what they are.

It won’t all happen at once, but October is a key month He will begin establishing these divine alliances among His people. In fact, He’s been at work behind the scenes over the past several years preparing us for this very time. Another pivotal month concerning this was July. He put certain things in motion then that will now accelerate in this time

So it’s no coincidence you are where you are. It’s no coincidence you’ve been learning what you have. It's no coincidence God has repeatedly placed certain people on your heart and mind. It's all a part of His preparation process to get you ready for Heaven's purpose. And what will start unfolding this month is no coincidence either. There are no coincidences with God.

Trust is always a part of the process. He’s brought you this far so know He will complete the work He first began in you. Know His intention is prevailing over you; even if you can’t see it yet.

October is clearly a month of change (in the natural and in the spirit). Here in the US, the weather shifts into a set autumnal pattern. Vibrant colors emerge as leaves begin to turn. The past seasons of winter, spring, and summer culminate into the glorious beauty of this season  fall.

That’s a key for this month and time also – turning. And it has everything to do with His purposes.

The Father is turning us, and matters concerning us, in the direction He wants. And as we turn, a spiritual vibrancy will begin to emerge that directly coincides with His purpose and intention for our lives. The beauty and glory of this season will reveal itself through the turning. God’s etching on our lives will become more evident.

Heaven's purpose is prevailing and October is but a foretaste of what's to come.

Living In The Meantime Of His Sufficient Grace

I don't write much here anymore about Lyme disease. I used to but decided a few years ago to start a separate blog solely dedicated to Lyme and my health.

People who follow The Ragamuffin Saint still occasionally ask how I am in regards to that. And I certainly appreciate it. It's always meaningful when someone remembers you and what you're going through or dealing with; even if they don't fully know or understand the details.

Still, it's not such an easy question to answer; it's not so cut and dry because there's a lot involved. Ask anybody with a chronic illness and I'm pretty sure they'll tell you the same.

Some days, it's easier not to go into it and other days, it needs to be said.

I suppose this is one of those days it needs to be said. But it isn't necessarily about the status of my physical health. I think I need to speak some truth about this process. And I have learned the process is vitally important. It's hard but necessary.

The Lord promised me healing MANY years ago - and I've always believed Him. In the meantime, He said His grace was sufficient for me. Now I'm not just quoting Scripture. He really did tell me that...right after the part where He promised me healing.

And so I continue to wait.

I can honestly say I still believe. However, that hasn't automatically made this easy; quite the contrary. Nor does it mean I always understand; I do not. But I do trust Him. Perhaps I should say I've learned to trust Him through these years of waiting. And this isn't something that can just be taught. It must be learned through personal experience, which usually means you will beat your head against the proverbial wall a lot.

Nevertheless, there is always deep learning and beauty hidden within a mess for us to discover. And so it's been for me. There are deeper places in Him I have discovered and journeyed; places I don't think I could have found anywhere else but here

Keeping the faith, continuing to believe, and trusting Him, which means trusting in His purpose and timing, is often a choice; an intentional choosing. By that I mean I choose these things. I choose to keep trusting. It's actually much easier now twenty-one years into this because I've better learned to do thatAnd I just know in my spirit that He will do what He said He would do. I've come to know His character, His nature, and I know He cannot lie.

It's on the hardest of days, though, when I have to purpose in my heart to keep holding onto what I know, despite how I physically or emotionally feel.

Honestly, it's not easy being sick for so long or how every facet of your life is affected by it. It's not easy working so long and hard to be well, which really is a full-time job itself. It's not always easy dealing with the opinions, beliefs, and judgments of other people either.

I don't understand all the whys but I do know what He has shown me. And what He has shown me trumps all. He is the final authority over my life. So I keep doing my part while trusting He's doing His. I focus on the truth of what I know. And I ask for more grace.

I try to balance how my everyday life really is; balancing the reality of still being chronically ill (better but still ill) with who I am and who I am becoming. Sometimes this gets blurred. Sometimes I get weary. And sometimes its really hard.

But all the sometimes eventually pass and I grow through each one. I learn through the stretching. I expand through the expanding. And I see wisdom and development truly come through the process.

The truth is, God's had a plan all along. It's gotten clearer along the way. Not all at once, but more so over the years as we've traveled this long road together. I can better see how His supernatural grace has truly been a preserving factor for me.

So I do what I've been called to do, as well as I can, in the context of where I am in my life presently. I walk in who I am, even though I'm not physically well yet. And the Christ within me empowers me to do this.

To some, it might seem like a total contradiction. But God's ways are nothing like ours. His ways, His thoughts, function on a truly higher plane. We have to learn to sync up with Him. Come up higher, so to speak. Basically, He sees the big picture and mostly we do not. This is certainly another nugget of wisdom I've not only learned but am living out.

This is the place where trusting Him is most vital and, truthfully, most costly. It's an investment in the future; we just don't always understand it at the time.

I think most of us truly appreciate authenticity yet it's not always the easiest thing to do when it concerns our real lives. Often the truth of our stories isn't what we want it to be. Maybe we prefer not to go there. Or maybe we're afraid of what other people will think of us. Perhaps we even feel like we're failing God somehow by not having the perfect story to tell.

If we aren't careful, we can inadvertently create a false persona in an effort to present ourselves in an acceptable and faithful light to God and others. While I clearly know there are spiritual principles on which we stand and operate, I also know He's not into fake. And neither am I.

It's certainly wisdom to use discretion but sometimes, we just need to be more transparent and share some of our stories. Perhaps it helps us have greater grace for other people when they're being more transparent about theirs. And perhaps He just wants us to share because He's working and moving and using our words and our lives to speak to someone else. In the process, it usually helps us in some way too.

I guess I can sum this up by saying I'm not who I was but I'm more of who I am. It's a good thing. It's a God thing. And it's happening through this crazy, beautiful mess. It's happening in the meantime.

So even though it doesn't always make sense, even though it usually isn't easy, I ultimately know His purpose for my life is prevailing.

And this is where I've been all these years. It's where you'll still find me - living in the meantime of His sufficient grace.

- Michelle

Entertaining Angels

Recently, the Lord showed me a very powerful thing concerning what’s happening around me, my family, and our homes.

We’ve been entertaining angels.

Actually, I was in prayer a week ago when suddenly; I began to hear the classic Newsboys song, Entertaining Angels.

I heard it very clearly in my mind. So I started singing the chorus out loud:

Entertaining angels by the light of my TV screen
24-7 You wait for me
Entertaining angels by the time I fall to my knees
Host of Heaven sing over me.

And then the Holy Spirit told me that’s exactly what’s been going on - we’re entertaining many angels without realizing it.

I’m sure you know the Scripture that immediately comes to mind about this.

Do not neglect to show hospitality or kindness to strangers, for some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2

I think many of us have either heard a true life account of this, or experienced it ourselves but were only made aware after the fact. Or perhaps we’ve wondered how many times this might have actually happened to us and we just didn’t know it. Ultimately, this biblical counsel is true because the Word of God says it is.

However, what the Holy Spirit has been showing me is that we are entertaining angels directly sent from Heaven by The Father. We don’t necessarily see them with our natural eyes, although it is possible. Nevertheless, they are certainly present.

In fact, we’ve been hearing a lot of sounds in our house over the past couple of weeks that cannot be accounted for by natural means. I believe we are hearing the tangible evidence of what Holy Spirit revealed to me.

It isn't that this never happens. It's that this is different because we are in a different time. And The Father doesn’t just send angels to us for no reason. It’s on purpose He does this.

We, as believers, are often assigned angels, angelic guards, or angelic delegations for certain seasons or assignments in our lives. He sends them to help aid or assist us in the work of the Kingdom we’ve been assigned or called to do. They can deliver communications to us. They minister to us in our daily lives. They also help protect us and the work God is doing.

The Bible says angels are ministering spirits sent to serve or care for those who are heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14). They do the bidding of the Lord (Psalm 103:20).

In other words, angels don’t come with their own agenda. They come to fulfill the will of God. Whatever reason the Lord sends them to us is the reason they come. They obey Him and His Word. Nothing more and nothing less.

I believe these new angels we’re entertaining or hosting are also helping usher in this new season we have just entered into. New requires new. And this is not just for me and my family. It’s for all of God’s people.

When we pray The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) we are inviting the Kingdom of Heaven to make itself known more in the earth realm. We are asking for God’s will to be done on earth the way it is in Heaven. That includes angelic help.

Another profound thing He has shown me is that we are now in, what He calls, “The time of His intention or purpose.” And the basis of this is found in Proverbs 19:21: Man makes many plans, but the purpose of the Lord will prevail.

As He explained it further to me, I began to understand there are set times of God’s intention. They are appointed by Him. And when we do come into these times, His purpose overrides and prevails over the plans of people.

We are now in such a time. And it’s very good thing.

This is another reason He's sending new delegations of angels to His people. They will enforce God’s intention for our lives in this set time. They will sing The Father’s purposes over us; they will sing them to our spirits.

I really believe this post will speak to many of you. And whether you are experiencing what I’ve been writing about here or not, know this: The Father is sending angels, and heavenly resources, to His sons and daughters in this time. They are coming to help secure His purposes for this season in our lives. It’s very important. This time is very important.

I’ll close with this - It’s better than we thought.

God’s purpose, His will for our lives, Heaven’s intentions – it’s all so much better than we know. I’m not only hearing and being shown this, but I truly feel it in my entire being.

It’s all so good. He is so good. Even those things that are not good, even things the enemy has meant for our harm, The Lord ultimately desires to work them out for our good and His glory. And the time we have now entered into will prove this.

God loves His people so much. He wants us to excel in the things we are called to do. So much so, He’s sending angelic help to make it happen.

So expect it. And rejoice in the knowledge that He loves you, He cares for you, and His purpose and intention will prevail in your life. His holy angels are coming to seal the deal and enforce Heaven’s purpose for you.

Who knows - you might already be entertaining angels unawares.

Therefore He will correct us, one way or another, for our own good. And it's because He loves us.

Thunderstruck

There are those times when God speaks very plainly. As in language we can all understand so as to make sure He clearly gets across what He’s communicating without any ambiguity or misunderstanding; this is that kind of word.

Many are familiar with the word THUNDERSTRUCK because of the song with the same title by the rock group AC/DC. And that alone will grab some people’s attention. Nevertheless, it is the meaning or definition of the word the Lord is conveying here.

The word THUNDERSTRUCK means to be extremely shocked or surprised; to be stunned, aghast, dumbfounded, or speechless; to be amazed, astonished, or floored; to be blown away.

I am hearing The Father say THUNDERSTRUCK is the word of the hour.

Now, this can be good or this can be bad. I believe it’s both.

There are going to be many good and extraordinary things the Father is doing in this time that will totally astound people. Answers to long-awaited prayers, His promises being fulfilled, and for many, a sudden turn-around of circumstances that have looked utterly lost, devastated, and hopeless. Also, many breakthroughs, discoveries, and miracles are going to take place.

While I certainly don’t know everything He will do, there are going to be some things so good, so wonderful, it will leave many of us THUNDERSTRUCK

The time frame He is showing me about this is over the next four years, beginning in late summer or fall (September-October) of this year. So late 2015-2019.

On the flip side of this is the not so good. What exactly does this mean? It means many people and many situations are going to be exposed for who and what they really are. In other words, the truth is coming out.

It is correct that exposure is not always bad. Good things get exposed too, and that is also a part of this time of deep exposure. However, the Father is specifically focused on exposing the ugly truth - things hidden in darkness (covered-up) that will be brought into the light (uncovered). And yes, some of it is already happening, but there’s plenty more to come.

Many times, people refuse to see the truth for how it really is. And they also refuse His help to see it despite the long-suffering and lengthy pursuit of the Holy Spirit. Hence, the time comes when God has to give sight to or reveal what’s really going on. As in pull-the-curtain-back-open-the-closet-door-straight-up-truth. And it’s often shocking.

So He doesn’t just expose something for the sake of exposing it. He exposes and discloses the truth in order to bring needed change. Initially, this can look pretty ugly and messy, but He will ultimately use it to usher in and establish the vital change and transformation He desires and sees is necessary.

Over the last few years, which has been at His choosing and not mine, I’ve been writing and speaking out to help prepare people for this exposure (or try to help as much as possible). Regardless, there are going to be things exposed that will be so shocking; no amount of preparation could fully ready us. Some of this will be so hard to believe, it just won’t seem possible that it could be true.

BUT IT IS TRUE.

He is saying ahead of time; BELIEVE IT - IT IS TRUE.

And He will have confirmations in place to validate it (i.e. confessors, whistle-blowers, documentation).

Some of this will be so shocking, it will leave many THUNDERSTRUCK in light of what's being revealed. Some of it will be because of what He is exposing in the government of this nation – the USA (local, state, and federal). And some of it will be because of what He is exposing in His own house – the Church (particularly the leadership).

This is why He’s saying THUNDERSTRUCK is the word of the hour.

Many will be THUNDERSTRUCK by the good things happening.

Many will be THUNDERSTRUCK by the bad things being exposed.

And it is very likely many will be THUNDERSTRUCK by both the good and the bad, perhaps even simultaneously.

God always informs His people ahead of time, but we don’t always listen. And the truth is, He’s been doing this for quite a long time now.

The Father doesn’t want us to be completely caught off guard. He cares. He cares about people; He cares about the innocent; He cares about injustice; He cares about truth. And this is why He is doing what He is doing.

Seven Highlights For July

The Holy Spirit emphasized certain things to me concerning the month of July – seven to be exact. His highlights or revelatory points, if you will. I do not presume to know everything that will happen in July, however; I am releasing the portion He has given me to share with the Body of Christ. In His love and grace. ~ Michelle

1. There are going to be unusual manifestations of God’s glory and love during this month. Don’t expect usual, normal, typical, or ordinary. Not that anything about Him falls into any of those categories, but rather our expectation of how He works often does. This is a time to let God take Himself out of our personal safety boxes. He wants to show us more.

2. The Holy Spirit will begin healing blind spots and removing blinders that are obscuring the sight of God’s people so we can see more clearly what The Father is doing, and how He is doing it.

3. The Father is replacing our old ways of thinking. He wants us to understand how to rightly operate through the mind of Christ. He is giving certain sons and daughters deep wisdom and insight into this. Listen to what they are saying.

4. We must understand that God highly values relationships. He values His relationships with us and our relationships with each other. This is going to show more important this month than any other. Divine alliances are coming into greater focus in July. He will start bringing people together for partnerships in ministry, business, and artistic and innovative projects and endeavors. These are God-ordained connections that will serve His purposes for The Kingdom.

5. The blending of things within the Church must stop. We, as believers, cannot mix light and darkness, truth and lies, love and hate, or purity and impurity. The Father is going to rightly deal with this in His House and in His leadership. It is the Body of Christ He is looking at concerning this matter.

6. Far more people are coming into the Kingdom than many might expect. Not necessarily just in this month, but more so in the future. Do not underestimate what The Lord is doing. Remember, His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. Jesus is inviting us to join Him in this by allowing Holy Spirit to teach us how to better operate in His love and power together. There is a synergy between the two – His love and His power. Demonstrations of them in operation together will be what draws many to Christ.

7. The Father is expanding His Kingdom. Okay, so most of us are not surprised by this because The Kingdom of God is ever increasing, and it seems to echo the previous point. However, that is not the kind of expanding He's specifically referring to here. There's a new type of expansion or development He is setting into motion, and there are forerunners in the Body of Christ, trailblazers or pioneers in the faith, who are carrying this. The Lord is going to use them to usher it in. I’m not sure they even know or fully understand it, but He will start giving deeper insight to those who are pioneering this unique expansion for God's Kingdom. He is going to set this thing ablaze and it will be more deeply established during the month of July. I am specifically hearing Holy Spirit say, “There is an expansion within the expanding.” Although I do not have full clarity about it, this is what I am being shown by the Spirit of God.

A Course Correction Is Coming To The Body Of Christ

At the beginning of the year, The Father began showing me there is a course correction coming for the Body of Christ as a whole. And we are going to have a decision to make about it. Will we choose to go in the direction the Holy Spirit shows us or not?

God never removes our choice. However, it is always wisdom to heed the leading of Holy Spirit, who is the “Spirit of truth” (John 16:13). God would not be doing this if a course correction weren’t needed. Why would He spend His time turning us in a new direction if it were not necessary? He wouldn’t. So that means this is essential for our being in right position and proper alignment with Him as His Body. But this isn’t just a correction in our trajectory. It is also a correction in how we conduct ourselves as God’s people.

We cannot be offended at our Heavenly Father when He sees we are in need of true correction, whether individually or corporately. He is just and righteous, and we must learn how to yield to His correction when He reveals to us there are changes we need to make (Hebrews 12:1-9).

He is a kind, loving, generous Father. He is also an omniscient God - He sees and knows all. And He sees the truth of what’s really going on, including what is hidden, even within the recesses of our own hearts; things we cannot see or discern about ourselves. Remember, God doesn’t judge by outward appearances; He looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). And that's precisely what He is doing.

We cannot adjust or correct ourselves according to what we think or assume to be right. It is the truth The Father reveals to us through His Word and by His Spirit that we need in order to make proper, healthy, and sound correction. It is by His standard of truth we must gauge and amend ourselves. His standard is the plumb line for our lives and that would be Jesus, himself, who is the head of us, His Body.

So what exactly is God the Father saying about all this?

I heard Him expressly say, “As My people, you cannot be set in your own ways. Instead, you must be set in My ways.”

Doing things our way has cost us and it has hurt many people – other believers as well as unbelievers. We must learn to truly function in His ways, and our motives must line up with His heart.

The course correction is coming. We will either choose to embrace it or reject it. I pray we embrace it and the needed change it will bring.

Another thing He spoke to me about is our holding back with Him. The Father wants every part of us. As it is, many are only giving Him safe, nice portions. But He wants all of us, and all of us needs Him.

We've all had, myself included, some piece of ourselves - wounded, frightened, prideful, stubborn, broken, disappointed, rebellious, bitter, traumatized - in need of His beautiful mending touch. There is nothing shameful about that. However, withholding these pieces from Him is hurting us personally, and it is hurting the Body of Christ as well. It has led us off course.

We must be like David and ask Him to search our hearts and thoughts and show us what He finds. (Psalm 139:23-24). Then we must be willing to receive what He shows us and allow Him to help us through His corrective, healing course.

God is faithful and true. He loves us and cares about where we are headed. He knows all our past hurts and injustices. He also knows our present struggles. And He wants to help us deal with them rightly. We can’t take matters into our own hands and then expect God to follow suit. It doesn’t work like that. We must purpose to align ourselves with Him and His order.

We have come into a new time. It is a time that will no longer allow us to hold onto past hurts and offenses and filter our thinking, our choices, and even our theology through them. God wants to bring healing and restoration into our lives; for us and for the sake of The Kingdom so we can function freely in all He has for us to do.

His Kingdom is advancing. The light of the world is shining brightly in His glory and power. By the mouth of many prophets, we are hearing that an awesome, unprecedented move of God is soon coming and we each have a part to play in this. Or to put it another way, Heaven is going to invade earth in a way it never has before. And this isn’t going to be a one-time deal and then it’s over with. Rather this will be abiding; steadfast. In fact, I believe it's going to be more of an awakening that will change everything. However, if we are not in alignment with His heart and His order we will miss it, or some part of it, because it won’t look like what we’re expecting. It won’t look familiar because God is doing a new thing and He truly wants us to be ready for it (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Do we really want to risk missing out on something we’ve long been waiting and praying for? The Father certainly doesn’t want any of us to miss it; not even in the slightest.

May we humble ourselves before Him and allow this course correction to lead us into all truth. There are portions of this that are going to be a hard pill to swallow, but know The Lord will never mislead us. Not ever. And through this, He will bring us into new levels of wisdom and understanding. He will bring us into deeper levels of His love and power. He is doing this to ultimately bring us into the abundant life He designed and created us for.

Many exciting things lie ahead and The Father is wanting to fully ready us for them. The question is: will we let Him?

In His Great Love,
