God's DNA And Your Identity In Him

No one else can carry what God the Father has uniquely given you to carry. Absolutely no one can do that but YOU. Oh someone else can try to, but it will not be to the same magnitude nor will it have the intended effect because YOU were designed to carry it and not them. So is it important that we walk out what He has given us to do? Yes! A hundred times Y-E-S!!!

There are people who God has called you to reach through the gifts and creativity that is inside of you. He gave it to you. You are made in His image. God is a Creator and when we live and move and have our being in Him; so are we. We create with Him as He leads us. Don’t shy away or back down from the unique gifts that you carry inside of you. As a believer, you carry divine genetics. You have the DNA of God within you. And He is just waiting to unlock it and show you the potential you have in Christ. It’s magnificent. It’s awesome. And it’s relevant for now.

The time is now. Some of you have been asking, “When’s the time?” Well, I hear The Lord saying that the time is NOW. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, but now!! This is the season. The time is now. The key is in finding or discovering your identity in Him, in Jesus. WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? Don’t dismiss this question; for it’s more relevant now than it’s ever been. Who are you in Him?

Many people want to know but they don’t understand how to go about finding out or receiving it. Well, God always intentionally leaves an element of mystery in place so that we will seek Him for the answers. It is His nature to hide revelation for us to find (Proverbs 25:2). And He often uses others in the Body of Christ to help reveal more of this to us. In other words, we need each other. God doesn't show us everything; not even about ourselves. He has set it up this way on purpose. Ultimately, He wants us to seek Him for it.

You might not be called to impact everybody, but you are called to make a difference in the lives of certain people in certain areas. It might be an entire region. Or it might be your city. Or it might be your family.

Your identity is not what has happened to you. Your identity isn't what other people say about you or how they treat you. Your identity is not even what you think about yourself sometimes. Your true identity is only found in Yeshua; Jesus Christ. He is the KEY to knowing who you really are. And He is the KEY to unlocking this great potential to excel and succeed and do great and mighty things in the world for Him.

It might be through the arts (music, painting, photography, videography, writing, dance, etc.). It might be through engineering (designing buildings, structures, highways, bridges, etc.). It might be through healthcare (doctors, nurses, technologists, therapists, nutritionists, etc.).

It might be about growing healthy, sustainable foods or making the best quality coffee or tea that you can offer to your community. Communities need master carpenters, electricians, and plumbers; they need teachers, florists, bakers and chefs; they need mayors, law enforcement, fire and rescue; they need farmers, mechanics, and postman.

There are many of you who are called to be entrepreneurs and don’t even know it. God has not only given you an innovative gift that will help people and advance His Kingdom but will also help you to make a good living.

Some of you are called to carry the torch of righteousness for your homes, your families, and your cities. Some are called to be tuners. Not just tuners in the natural, meaning tuning musical instruments or electronic devices, but spiritual tuners. God wants to use you to help “tune” others into the things of the Spirit. Into spiritual truths. This is very important.

Some are called to be negotiators or intercessors. Your words are designed to dispel the antagonist in operation. Your words sow seed in the ground and when the time is right; they will come forth and produce a harvest.

And it is the time of unusual harvests - you’ll reap more than you planted or sowed. This is a spiritual principle in effect. Seed, time, and harvest (Genesis 8:22). What’s unusual is how God is going to manifest it. Increases will happen in unexpected but extraordinary ways.

Speaking of extraordinary, there is something special God has placed on the inside of you. There are times that you can feel it. You might not be able to fully get ahold of it yet but we have come into a time when God is going to make many things known. Exposure isn't always a bad thing. Yes, there are many exposures aligning up to reveal what has been kept in secret; what has been hidden, covered-up, and concealed. Some of it is bad. But some of it is really good. For The Lord to expose your true identity in Him is a really GOOD thing. So embrace it. Welcome it. It doesn't just matter or make a difference. It is VITAL for this time we are in; for now. It will astound you just how highly God thinks of you AND how much He has actually entrusted you with for the sake of His Kingdom.

To know the truth of why you were created, to understand the purpose for your being born; to come into the knowledge of this will literally change your life. Get ready, for God is setting many people up to discover and walk in the truth of who they are and what they were sent to this earth to accomplish.

You were created in excellence. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You were born to do great exploits. You are designed to walk in the sphere of your calling that God alone has placed deep inside of you. It’s time to let it rise up. It’s time for you to find out the truth of your inheritance in Christ. He LOVES you!!! And it is time for you to come out of hiding and allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you into the knowledge of all truth. He wants to show you things that are to come. Things you will do together.

It's time to come up higher.

In the Name of Jesus, I am calling you to come out now and embrace the truth of God’s goodness and who you are in Him. You were born for such a time as this. God does not make junk. Let Him show you the high value and worth He sees and has placed within you.

Raise your head up. He’s calling for you!

Winter Seasons Produce Stronger Roots

When we're going through something painful, especially when it's long-term, it can leave us feeling weary, frustrated, and forgotten. After so long it feels like nothing will ever change. We feel stuck in it. Stuck in a barren, lonely place. What once used to be vibrant and full of color has now muted into a hundred shades of dull gray.

This is actually a truth I see expressed through nature this time of year. Those vibrant, beautiful colors in the peak of fall will eventually give way to the barrenness and harsh cold of winter. And during those long winter days, it can feel like spring will never come much less summer.

But even winter has its beauty. Even winter holds value and significance. Winter is a season that is more about unseen preparation than outward adornment. All the action is happening underground and out of sight. The beauty of spring, summer, and fall is more tangibly visible, and although I personally find tangible beauty in it; winter is not nearly the eye candy the other seasons are.

But, and this is a big but, the sweet eye candy we start seeing in spring that proliferates through summer and fall would not be possible if it weren't for the unseen preparations of winter. What goes on in winter - the barrenness and dormancy - has everything to do with preparing for the budding and blooming of spring. Summer leaves, plants, and flowers cannot blossom without spring's buds and blooms. And autumn's brilliant colors would never show apart from summer's fullness. It's the cycle of growth. The cycle of life. We cannot have one without the other. They're all necessary.

Root systems are what nourish and anchor trees and plants. While everything above ground is in dormancy during the winter months; roots maintain a readiness to grow. In fact, winter causes root systems to dig deeper underground and expand in search of nutrients and water in advance of spring budding. What beauty we see with our eyes - the limbs, the leaves, the stems, the buds, the flowers - is but a reflection of what is unseen beneath the ground. A tree, a plant, or a flower is only as strong as its root system. Roots are the life source.

God is our life source and when we're rooted more deeply in Him, we can better endure the elements and outward assaults that come our way; including those He allows into our lives. In fact, they can drive us deeper into Him. I know it doesn't feel like anything comforting or miraculous while it's happening. Believe me, I understand well. It can actually feel pretty harsh, agonizing, lonely, and even a bit maddening. But if I've learned one thing it's this: growth is painful but oh so necessary.

And the Father is very interested in our proper growth. He wants us to excel and succeed in what He's called us to do for the Kingdom. That means we will all go through times of pruning and purging, as well as times when He will place us in a winter season, what appears to be a state of dormancy, in order to mature and nourish our roots deeper in Him. There isn't as much outward growth happening because it is an appointed time for inner growth. This is also a time when we can learn how to truly rest in Him; a place where we come to learn for ourselves more of who He is.

It's necessary.

He is a really good God, and He loves us so much and has a deep longing for us to really know Him. He also likes to bless us. However, we aren't always ready to handle the greatness of what He desires to bless and entrust us with. So He will place us in His designated growth process to prepare us, and it usually hurts. Just like we experience growing pains during the physical or natural process of growing up, so do we experience growing pains in the process of our spiritual growth.

But here's the good news; it draws us closer to Jesus. It roots us deeper in His love, truth, hope, and grace.

This will produce beautiful, abiding fruit in our lives - that sweet eye candy. The harvest we reap for Him will be greater because of it and our faith will expand and grow stronger as well. We will also have more productive and abundant spiritual seasons as a result. But never forget the eye candy is only a reflection of what's been really going on down in our root systems; deep down where the Holy Spirit has been at work in us - in our hearts. That's where the producing of greater things starts taking its form. That's the part we can't always see or fully understand during those long winter seasons. But He does. And this is where our trust in Him is required.

I believe when we live and move and have our being in God, nothing is wasted; not even the winters of our lives.

Let your roots grow down into him [Christ], and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with gratitude. Colossians 2:7

There is a season for everything and a time for every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  Ephesians 3:16-19

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.  Jeremiah 17:7-8.
