Some Things I've Learned Along The Way: Part 2

The beauty of nature will nourish your soul.

Never take anything too personally.

Faith is mostly trusting.

Listen to constructive criticism, and you just might learn something.

Be gracious with people, even when it seems they don't deserve it; you never know what they might be dealing with.

Always take time to play; it refreshes you (I learned this from my nephews).

Character gets developed best through the shaping processes of God. I know it's not fun, but it's true.

Believing is actually seeing.

No one has the right to steal your hope; don't let them.

The struggle is a part of the process.

God will ask you to do some things that no one else understands; do them anyway.

Do not mistake humility for weakness, nor confidence for arrogance.

Delay is not denial.

Good health is priceless; never take it for granted.

A critical spirit spreads like wildfire.

Simple joys mean so much.

Truth is indispensable.

You are not defined by what happens to you; you are defined by your identity in Christ.

Sometimes you just have to walk it out.

Never underestimate the power of prayer and a good piece of cake.

Dream bigger.

Some days, you do have to crank up the music really loud.

There's nothing quite like the tantalizing aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

Good friends are indeed a gift from God.

Some things really are just a matter of trust.

Lending a friendly ear goes a long way.

Without Jesus and the Cross, there would be nothing but condemnation.

Find something to celebrate on a regular basis.

Perseverance is a big key in life.

Being right is not most important; doing the right thing is.

Never make assumptions.

Being led by the Spirit is essential.

Learning is a gift, and nothing can take its place.

Laughter is the shock absorber of life; it helps us bear and maneuver all the bumps and potholes we encounter along the way.

Kindness really does make a difference.

When God shows up, everything changes.
