Praying The Kingdom To Come Through The Lord's Prayer

"Pray like this: Our Father in Heaven, holy is your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.]"  Matthew 6:9-13

The Lord's Prayer calls for the Kingdom to manifest on Earth as it is in Heaven. It's how Jesus taught us to pray.

The Kingdom of God doesn't come to blend in with the culture. The Kingdom comes to establish the culture of Heaven on Earth.

The Kingdom is present but not fully come. Jesus established the arrival of the Kingdom. It came with Him. And yet, The Kingdom of Heaven is not fully consummated.

Heaven is invading Earth. Therefore, people are going to start beholding the Kingdom in a greater degree. The Earth belongs to the Lord and He can do whatever He wants. And He wants to let us know what is coming.

Here it is: Heaven is coming to express itself more on Earth. The Kingdom is going to manifest in greater degrees. We will behold (see or witness) it. This is called the Kingdom Age.

God does and will continue to manifest Himself THROUGH His people; through believers in Yeshua Christ. The Kingdom expands in greater degrees through us individually and also corporately as the Church, especially as we allow the Holy Spirit to expand within us. But The Kingdom is coming to expand more within the natural Earth in ways it never has before. Therefore it will be more "on Earth as it is in Heaven."

God wants us to behold HIM more. That’s what this is really all about. His Kingdom brings the revelation of who He is. Jesus said if you have seen me, you’ve seen The Father. The revelation began with and is still found in and through Jesus.

When Jesus told the disciples HOW to pray (The Lord’s Prayer), He was expressing a way to call the Kingdom to come (approach, draw closer, move nearer, arrive, materialize) in a greater way. It implies there’s more. And there is more. That is what we are calling to come forth when we pray it.

So the questions remain, WHY would The Father do this? WHY does He want us to behold His Kingdom more? WHY does He want us to behold Him more?

And the answer is: BECAUSE HE LOVES US. And He wants us to really know Him. And His home.
